Cycle, Walk or Run the KVR Trail

Start in Penticton and travel upward along the KVR trail (approx 2% grade) or drive to the Smethurst Road Parking lot in Naramata and travel downward. Bike tours can be organized through a company, or do on your own and coordinate with friends (2 cars) if you don't want to travel out and back.

Option 1: Begin at Smethurst Road Parking lot, walk or bike northward to the Little Tunnel (approx 4-1/2 km) for excellent views and pictures at the tunnel. Return to the parking lot (9 km round trip). This is a good walk. On a bike, you may want to travel on southward to hit various spots along the way - Hillside Winery, Poplar Grove, Cheese Shop, Lock and Worth Winery, La Petite Abeille Cidery, The Bench Market

Option 2: Begin at The Bench Market, walk east and north to pick up the trail. Walk upward (north) to the parking lot at Poplar Grove Road (approx 6 km). Poplar Grove Cheese, Lock & Worth Winery and Hillside Winery & Bistro nearby. Return. Can be done in reverse. Park in the parking lot to walk downhill first. There is a cycling pump track near the parking lot. Fun for kids.
